The Excalibur Family

Our company’s name comes from King Arthur’s legendary sword. With this unique weapon in his hands, he could not be vanquished, winning every battle, even against the most formidable foe. Excalibur, King Arthur’s legendary sword, was magic. The products in this catalog can't claim the secret science of his court wizard Merlin, but sometimes the patented technology we've developed may make it seem that way.
Our professional staff, led by President Shane Samole, brings you some of the most innovative products in the marketplace. We want to know how we can help you meet your business goals. Please call us any time. And be sure to let us show you around the next time you’re in Miami!

Despite our new product diversity, Excalibur remains the center of commercial chess. Both the World Chess Federation (FIDE) and the US Chess Federation sanction a special wing of our Miami headquarters as the official home of the new World Chess Hall of Fame and Sidney Samole Chess Museum. Every year, each of these two official governing bodies of chess induct "Hall of Fame” players in a ceremony similar to those held at the Baseball and Football Halls of Fame.
Visitors from all over the US and all over the world will pass through our 45-foot-tall “castle” on their way into a high-tech museum that tells both the history and current events of chess. A series of kiosks house computer displays and interactive chess programs. An inclined "Walk of Fame" displays photos and memorabilia of the most honored names in the game. The walk ends in a theatre auditorium that features films about chess. A series of glass display cases hold some of the most prized pieces of chess history, from ancient sets to modern computers.
Suitable for all ages, the World Chess Hall of Fame and Sidney Samole Chess Museum has already been featured in major newspapers, magazines, television and even in encyclopedias. Be sure to drop in whenever you’re in town!
